Three things, and it asks first every time
Nothing runs in the background. The extension acts when you click its icon, and at install it can reach idynic.com and nowhere else.
Save the posting
Works on any job page you can open: the extension sends the address, and the posting is fetched and read on our side. If that fetch comes back empty, paste the description into the popup instead.
Catch the duplicate first
Before you click, it checks whether the role is already tracked or already sitting in your review inbox, and says so. The toolbar icon carries the same mark as you browse.
Prefill the application
On the three form platforms below, it fills the routine fields from your portrait, marks everything it touched, and stops. You review and you submit.
What happens after you click Save
The popup does not sit there spinning while a model reads a job description. The save is queued the moment you click it, and the popup narrates the real pipeline rather than a progress bar that is guessing.

A save from the extension queues a tailored application on its own, so the resume, cover letter, and answers are drafted and waiting for your review rather than sitting behind another button.
A slow posting is not a failed save. The popup stops watching after a minute and a half and hands you off to your opportunities list, where the same job keeps going and finishes on its own.

That is the whole list. Saving a posting works anywhere; prefill needs a form the extension has been taught, and only these three have been. When you are on one, it asks for permission to touch that site at the moment you use it, not at install.
What it fills
- Name, email, and phone
- LinkedIn, GitHub, and portfolio links
- Current company and title
- City, state, postal code, and country
- School and degree
Every field it filled gets an outline and a note telling you to check it. Where a field matched but your portrait had nothing to put in it, that gets marked too, so a blank is never a surprise on the confirmation screen.
What it refuses to fill
File uploads
Resume and attachment fields are excluded outright. It marks them so you know to attach the file yourself.
Demographic questions
Gender, race, ethnicity, veteran status, disability, pronouns, and any self-identification question are excluded before matching even runs. These are yours to answer deliberately, every time.
And it never presses submit. There is no code path in the extension that can advance a form or click the button at the end of one.
What it can reach, and what it sends back
A browser extension is a lot of trust to ask for, so here is the shape of what this one holds.
One site at install
The only origin it is granted up front is idynic.com. Permission for an application form is requested when you press Prefill on that form, and you can take it back in your browser's extension settings.
Nothing while you browse
No script of ours runs on job boards in the background. Reading a posting, saving it, and filling a form each start from a click of yours.
Counts, not content
To find out where prefill is going wrong, it reports which kinds of field it filled or skipped, and how many. The labels on the form and the values in it are not part of that, by design.
Sign in with your Idynic account and the extension holds a session it can refresh, which you can disconnect from its options page at any time. The wider privacy and sharing commitments are in the privacy policy.
